Take Care

these God-damned
children are dying
and the
god-damned
politi-pigs lying
for land

why

religions

can do
what they do
to the sons of their mothers
bullets raining
on the virgins
for religions
and land

why

are these God-damned
children dying
these God-damned
children are dying

for land

"We have art to save ourselves from the truth."
- Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900)

I am compelled to draw your attantion to Havel Vaclav's

"The United Nations World Summit for Children ". New York, September 30, 1990

My favorite part :
"Children in our country have proven that the ideology of sacrificing truth for the alleged interest of children is false. They revolted against parents who advocated this ideology, they joined the few who had been convinced from the very beginning that they would serve their children best if they did not look for excuses and lie, but rather live in truth and thus give an example to their children. "

"I'm all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools. Let's start with typewriters."
- Frank Lloyd Wright (1868-1959)

That`s truly honest and beautiful, too bad it`s yet to be heeded.
We`re going to reap what we sow.

It doesn't seem fair to blame lands or religions for the corruption man has brought to them. We are the ones to blame, not Jesus, Allah, or the sand and mud.

this is shockrock!

God damned, virgins, children dying, politi pigs!

shock, shock, shock.

Is it for land though? How about oil, or power(maybe land is power) or pride, or...land sounds anti-climactic. nice start.

The ending is supposed to be a let down. That`s just it. Land is so anti-climatic.
What a waste.
Of course there are many other factors. Too many to all be in included in a lil` ditty like this.
Children have been damned by a god, or gods that may or may not exist.

mmmm...oil? nope. Land? nope. Power? maybe.

I'm beginning to think that it's widespread fear of what is outside (of ourselves, our families, our cities, our nations, our racial groups, whatever), and that it's a sentiment that is reinforced and perpetuated by a small minority.

I see what you mean though. Land is the most tangible of acquisitions.

Maybe it`s just me,
I was under the impression that the Palestine/Israel conflict was rooted in land and religion.
I guess I`m lucky I only write to fill the little voids.
Back to the brushes!

Rooted in land and religion, yes, but above ground, the brambles that push against each other in a thistley, viney complicated struggle, is people. God, the spirit and energy that surely does exist, whether in the form we describe it or not. It is not to blame. Dotted lines on a map have little to do with rolling hills, deserts and rain forests.

Yes, I say, fill the big voids with reflected light (paint).

Land is the goal of warfare, not it's casue. For this goal is ever present in wartime and in peace. Peace is just the pursuit of a change in policy by other than violent means.

In other words.
to die for your country is not the aim, to make the other bastard die for his is. I can't remember who said that...
