I've been teaching some sketchbook drawing workshops at the living prairie museum, this was a one day celebration they had. Artist in residence, Collin Zipp can be seen at the centre of the rooftop, camera in hand. This is two photos put together, with some shopp'in.

Cool....my grandpa, Bob Nero, was a wildlife researcher and was one of the people involved in the foundation of that museum, as well as the development Assiniboine Forest, south of Grant. And, he lobbied to have the Great Gray Owl declared our provincial bird.

Yeah, Damon dropped by the museum and mentioned your grandpa lived nearby. Do both Quebec and Manitoba have owls as their provincial birds?

It would be cool if you posted a picture of your grandpa on the blog. And some owl picture if you have any.
