I don't think it matters how they died, or what the circumstances of their burial were. We make up stories to explain the world around us all the time, and images like this prompt our minds to find some kind of resonance in it with our own life. I guess you get out of it what you put into it, then.
A Love for Art was a collaborative blog for visual artists, musicians, writers, and social scientists. This blog has evolved into a new blog called BETA, go check it out!

How do we know that they didn't kill each other by strangulation?
Not to be morbid, I'd like to think that they died in love. Just a thought.
Funny some of my friends thought they had likely been buried alive or killed each other by stabbing or something.
I guess we reconstruct history with our own biases and wishes, they told me I was being sappy to think this was romantic. Oh well.
If there was a way to die, what better way than with your lover. It's a good feeling, neither had to deal with the loss alone.
