If you spend any time with him, you are immediately hooked. He has a lot of tales. He`s one of the most organic people I`ve ever met. He`s lived, and lives his artwork. I`m not even a fan of nature paintings, but he has very subtle abtracts when you look close . They differentiate him from the Batemans et al. I think that this comes from him really living his paintings. Ask him anything about anything. He has an opinion. He made the loss of his painting arm take a back seat to his enthusiasm for creating new work. Most people would have rode that tragedy as a gimmick. I highly recommend a coffee with this gentleman if you have the chance. In his `90`s he can still break your bones with a handshake!.

I never showed him my portrait. I told him about it, but could'nt show it. He laughed at the plane description. He told me he envies painters that can do abstracts! Can you imagine?

what a great story and portrait.

I like his work, even though I'm not a huge fan of nature art.
