I sat by the riverbank a little, and a carp flashed its tail at me a few times, there were birds flying in and out, the river was teeming with life. Nature in the city.
And talk about a dry mudbank, whoa. Crickitty crackity.
i'm very sad. one of my fave spots in the whole city (has been for many years) is a nice wooded stretch of riverbank behind Balmoral Hall school. i've always liked to bike/walk/jog back there-- a very peaceful quiet little stretch of nature in the midst of downtown.
anyway, it's collapsing into the river. i wouldn't be surprised if the city fences it all off or something.
