contour 1. The outline which defines a particular form. By using thick contour lines one is able to suggest greater plasticity.
collage 1. From the French verb coller, meaning to stick. Collage is the art of permitting the maximum diversity of source material whilst at the same time producing coherent artistic synthesis.
