Stone Age Rocket

Bigbifacials-&-scrapers, originally uploaded by The Stranger.

Right here Right now

I've built a Stone Age Rocket
From whittled peices of wisdom
I found in my corderoy pocket

I was nominated
Least Suitable For Contemporary Society
Will it still be contemporary tomorrow?

The Fortune Teller told me I came from Egypt
She laid out the cards
Blackjack!

I hope this becomes a song. I need some new SmokyTiger material to listen to.

And being voted as incompatible with modern society is a gift!

I tend to think that there is a part, in all of this gang, which is incommensurate with society; we can taste the essential rage, and it tastes yucky, no?

some NEW stuff? geez, dude, the guy only recorded like 65 songs last year. that's 63 more good songs than the rolling stones have recorded since, like, '76 or so.

and yep, i'd say we're all pretty mismatched to this modern age, or any age for that matter, though we still seem to glide through it with a certain ease.

True enough. Soon I can feel myself returning to the lonely tower.

The Tower of Song, the Tower of Wisdom, I love renting there over the summer months.

The watch tower, of isolation, the holy pain of longing, contemplation, introspection, imprisonment of fear, a safe distance for observation, dreams, desire, boredom-creation, insecurity, rage, indulgence, exaggerated empathy, melencholy and unbridled joy.

The lease is up. Rent to own. A long flight of steep narrow twisting stairs make it hard to leave. Especially with your sofa.
