The term synoptic comes from Greek and means "seeing together,"
what I was going for was a story that has multiple scenes in one picture, telling a story in this way, but that ignores the fact that some of the same characters are repeated at the same time. (I saw this happen in a number of renaissance paintings...cave paintings...I dunno) We're so used to that one image with one set of characters that when you see it happening at the same time it is a bit confusing.

I like how the trees morph in to signs. (and the lake of fire)
