I Am The Wind
I am the wind
hear me breathe
in out across the world
Between dusty mountains
and glistening valleys
over parenthetical islands
and illusory borders
through time and out of mind
seasonally shifting ceaselessly
disregarding syntax, law, war
and the other conventions of humanity
Pray to me, bow down
ignore me, turn away
...
in any case
...
I continue on my path
in every direction
at once

i would drop the first line.
it's too obvious, imo, for what is otherwise a pretty subtle piece of writing.
other than that, this is fab.
parenthetical islands and illusory borders, indeed.
I like it, but its kitschy.
I'm kitsch now too, ugh, I h-te it.
I've got a feeling that this poem(dare I call it that) cares little for what you two have to say about. It blows right through your criticisms and compliments and continues onward!
I like the image too. You can never have too much nature.
I didn't realise poems could care about things JC.
Boy oh boy, thanks for that, who would have ever known.
i do so have feelings...sniff sniff
That's way funnier than the farting bunny.
The earth turning has effects on freely moving objects, such as the atmosphere and water, causing them to move to the right of the northern hemisphere and left to the southern.
Also, when a difference in pressure exists between two air forces, air will flow from high pressure (it can be heat) to low pressure. You can imagine this when you blow up a balloon which is higher pressure than the atmosphere. It all just blows out when you open it.
The flow from the earth turning tends to be perpindicular to the pressure flow, creating a cyclonic or circular flow.
..whoa, sorry for all this science stuff, i just wanted to know what wind was and then opened up a can of worms. i was getting into jetstreams and stuff explaining storms and cyclones.
ill do more research.
wow. fabulous, anita.
i love geo science.
