Do you remember when I numbered those rocks and handed them around?
Were there 6 of them? Interesting...I think there were, possibly representing the six years of existence. hmm.
RIP Label. ALFA lives on and on and on and on. Perpetually. existentially. Virtually. Sort of like a Space shuttle, jetisoning it's rockets, the rockets which have propelled us to here, to now.
it also hosted several hundred art and music shows. and it served as studio space where a lot of great ideas and great work were generated.
AND it also is responsible for all of us coming together as a loose, bickering collective.
so all of that is also quite significant, i would argue.
to deny that it had material significance in and of itself (which is not exactly what you did, but sort of) is, i would argue, to turn a blind eye to a lot of great things that happened there.
A Love for Art was a collaborative blog for visual artists, musicians, writers, and social scientists. This blog has evolved into a new blog called BETA, go check it out!

nicely done! :)
I didn't have much to work with, but it seems fitting. All stripped down all stripped down all strippedallstripped
sad to have missed it.
RIP ALFA

I think the Label will be most significant in terms of the victories of the people that were a part of it.
What are your victories?
well, that would be part of its significance.

i think i was rock number 3, and c-dog was 4.
James gave me a cool book/journal thing. It had a card in it that read something like:
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
