Patented in France in 1844, this tool would therafter come to be known as "le massicot." His contribution was especially useful to the bookbinding aspect of the printing business.
These last posts are truely amazing. I really wish I knew more about my own family history, but it is pretty mysterious, and I wouldn't know where to begin.
Poor guy has such short arms, does that run in your family?
I think I've experienced 'le massicotte' before, it's when rene puts a seven letter word down onto a triple word score in scrabble. ouch, usually leaves you reeling. ;)
Some day you should try to beat me in scrabble one of these days! I don't mean, play me, lose. and then lie and tell everyone that you won! How ridiculous would that be. Who would do such a thing? You should be ashamed of yourself. Now lets dance!
A Love for Art was a collaborative blog for visual artists, musicians, writers, and social scientists. This blog has evolved into a new blog called BETA, go check it out!

Maybe we can incorporate this into the Label mythos somewhere?
Maybe: In between the club of truth and the scalpel of love lies the beautiful prudence of le massicot!
Vive le massicot! The fighter of incredulity and shining expiator of untruths!
You will be cut!
