Madness

This is an awesome image.

I wish I could more easily get past the "appropriation". I find it harder with the simple pieces. Maybe cause I feel like the first artist (who drew the picture)did more work than the second artist (the person who made the collage etc). I suppose it would be ideal if that didn't bother me, and I could just gaze into this for meaning, without distraction. But as you so aptly put it. I'm an art bigot. =P

(still this observation may come of some use to you, who knows)

(It would be extra ridiculous now if you said "Dave, I DID draw that!")

See, the problem with my bigotry in this case is, I don't think its about who puts in more work. It's more of a who says what and how. So ya, that helps a bit.

Sorry Micro, don't know what to tell you.

But your point is well taken, so please stop making it.

Everything is borrowed.

Those who think they don't borrow are delusional, and usually their approriation involves deceipt.

That's not true. There is still room for invention. Honest to goodness innovation happens all the time.

Wow, "believe it", that's a dark thought.

Are you sure you really "believe" that?
