A Fool's Errand

On a fool’s errand I run
From twilight to dawn
On a fool’s errand I run
And run and run and run

From the tube to the line
And the opening to the round
In the darkness I run
On that fool’s errand

Wandering among machines
Without a decree
On my fool’s errand
What do others see?

How did I arrive at this
A place with no bliss
With no end in sight
Running the fool’s errand

And so it goes
From twilight to dawn
On a fool’s errand I run
And run and run and run
