I have this idea to make a painting, but all the mousetraps are real except one. The traps would be set of course. I think this would give a new dimension to "please don't touch the art". =P
Baiting them, I never thought of that. Maybe I could put things I think people like: money, bacon, porn etc.
Then again, just empty traps would be nice too. I think it would be fun to set them all off, or throw socks at them. This project would cost me over 300$ to make. I called Poulins with a price check today. They only have the easy set ones though, and I don't like how the yellow plastic looks.
Don't neglect to look at the dollar store, I bought the glue trap variety there this winter but I think I recall seeing the old fashioned "Victor" models too. Maybe you could nod to Thornycroft with a few dead mice in the traps?

They have a large selection of mousetraps at SIR. BUt you might try Rona...
