Actually with 2 early resigns (1 move or so each) and a glitched game, I really only won a single game. Let's try this again maybe with more people? Where'd disclaimer go, he was vicious. And Smkytgr has beat me every game I think (but cheats by using hypnotism, and I can never remember what happened).

Well, I created the group/team, so we can have team matches against whomever we want (though, if there are only three of us... we might have trouble finding similarly sized teams!)

The tournament (and all the games in it) can be seen here. If you like chess, and you join chess.com then you can be part of Team ALfA!

I like it.

i like it too.

but why are you commenting at 0404?

i heard recently that black screens use less energy than light-coloured ones, though there is some debate about this.

lately, i'm interested in the idea of how much energy we all use on our computers-- one google search, for e.g., involves not just our computer, but a central computer, somewhere far away, sorting through billions of web pages in seconds, and then projecting that info to our screens.

anyway, people have been talking lately about that being as big a source of carbon (don't know how) as cars.

I still have my profile, I just haven't played any games in like a year, but maybe it's time to get back into it. Sign me up for the next tourney.

sigh...is there nothing we can do in the modern world without totally pushing our weight around as far as energy and ecology goes...today i was feeling guilty for blowing my nose so many times, (we've used 4 boxes of tissues at my house this week), I was considering old style hankies, but it just grosses me out to wash them, and then that uses water and soap...sigh.

feeling stuck in a loop sometimes.

I'm pretty sure that very little of true greatness was ever accomplished purely in the name of guilt...

I'm pretty sure I didn't say anything about accomplishing anything purely in the name of guilt...but agreed, there are more effective and meaningful responses to what is around us then guilt.
