My parents had two pet monkeys at various times before I was born, and when I was very little (I have no memory of it). They used to sell them at Zellers!
The reason they first got together was because they met at a party where my dad had his monkey with him, named Jesus Christ.
Nice shots! Number three is my favorite. Is it near Varanasi? It looks more like the ocean than the Ganges.
My Nana wants her ashes thrown into the Ganges when she dies, but my grandpa says no because he thinks its too dirty for a sophisticated lady like her.
Yeah, great eye Anita! It's the Indian Ocean. Ganga Sagar, where the Ganges meets the ocean, to be exact. Do you know it? Famous Hindu pilgrimage sight about 5 hours drive from Kolkata. I went with my coworkers. I'm not a Hindu, but even so, it was one of the most powerful experiences of my life.
I hope your Nana gets her wish. I've been living by the Ganges for 5 months now, and truth be told I never imagined that I would feel so much spiritual energy emanate from any body of water, let alone the infamously dirty waters of the Ganga.
beautiful pictures as always beautiful ren. i want to come over there SO BADLY and see you and alexa. hey if you see any sacred cows could you take some pictures for me? i'm really into sacred cows xo

It looks horribly cold.....uhhh, not.
Does that monkey have a collar?

At least it's a hip studded collar?
Monkies monkies monkiessss!
no god no collar...although I did see a couple collared monkeys for the first time last week. It made me so sad. They really looked like slaves to me.
And it was a bit cold in the bottom shot! I swear! lol
