Apologies for perpetuating this discussion here but I thought recent developments were blog-worthy:
The United Nations asked isreal to allow its trucks into Gaza in order to deliver humanitarian aid. The Isrealis agreed to a ceasefire for a few hours so that the aid trucks could come in. And then they bombed the UN truc ks!!! Killing two drivers! I was listening to someone interveiw a spokesman for the Isreali defence and he said that the UN is infiltrated with Hamas terrorists!!!!
And then this:

From the Star article:
"There are now 900-plus (Palestinian) deaths, a large number of whom are civilian, who are the predictable victims of a military campaign in a densely populated space where the people can't flee because the borders are closed," he [Paul Heinbecker] said. Thirteen Israelis have been killed.
That one quoted sentence sums up the situation pretty well.
It's offensive, as it all is.
WF: untivent
Surely, it is an untivent.
Real, brutal, but locked into the plastic and the bristles with which I brushed my teeth.
We're all in deep.
We should be outraged at everything, the current situation being one gross example.
well, that's harper for you through and through. when are they going to kick him out already? this is embarrassing.
It's crazy to think of what this is going to do to the palestinian population in years to come, let alone the millions of dollars and emotional grief spent on rehabilitating those naive Israeli soldier pawns from post traumatic stress disorder.
In light of current events, it seems that dealing with human suffering has been put on the backburner in favor of a power-hungry agenda.
And you know that the people making the big decisions are taking it easy at home.
generals die in bed.
