Here's a guy to look up to....

Pictured here: Stephan Massicotte

From my less grandious series tentatively titled "Good People, Bad Nothing", Mr.Massicotte is a wonderful man. He works at a home for people with disabilities, and is also a landlord., and to top it all off, he's Rene's cousin!

He enjoys running, playing guitar, smiling and joking.

As you may have guessed, fame isn't one of the criteria in this series, unless you consider the honor and pride I post this man's visage, and then I guess he's famous beyond words. He has a good heart, he's genuine and wise beyond his years.

For those of you that have met him, you know what I'm talking about. What do you think?

I think you're right.

And I think it's kind of neat how you people know and appreciate someone I've loved like a brother since I can remember.

I think you've got something here.

Interesting how those we look up to can only achieve that status through us and our projections of greatness. They are our creations.

talking about heroes...ever see the movie When Night Falls? It's about a cuban writer in the 60's, it's quite amazing. There's a part where he's in jail and has his manuscript sent out piece by piece in someone's ass(johnny depp's ass actually).

He dies at age 47 of AIDS. cuba's revolution is also a sexual one at this time.

I was thumbing through the dictionary again, and heroes and the word noble seem to go hand and hand.

How does one become noble? (I'm not talking lineage, but rather in word and action) And since we're on the topic, does drug abuse affect nobility?

Assaulting the body can have benefits, but when disrespecting the body, you damage the soul: the only noble thing.

Some might disagree.

The soul is completely seperate from the body, in fact, some believe the soul can exist without the body.

Now, maybe you're speaking of the soul's moral aspect, its right or wrong. If that's the case, then drugs, which is a very general term for a substance(not necessarliy a narcotic) that is used to enhance the physical or mental welfare of men or animals. OBVIOUSLY too much of anything will damage the body, the soul, and the mind.

Your magnanimous comment that the soul is the only noble thing is....dramatic.

What does science have to say about the soul anyways?

Magnanimous! And yes, dramatic, do you know me any other way?

:)

And I do not believe that soul and body are different; in fact, if pushed, I'd have to say that soul IS body, in that the fundamental material is the former not the latter.

And what does science have to say about the soul? I'll have to get back to you as that is a big question, and my research on the area has been quite slim, and from what I've noticed, there is an increasing amount of literature on the matter.

Yet from an initial and tiny review, I'd say that soul is a generative property of matter as it intersects with idea (both being ontological material, essentially the entative range). This 'field' then continues to interact with other souls and other matter/idea, all within a plenumic energetic potential that is the condition of possibility for reality.
