no, The Atom is on the screen pointing out a disturbance on the east coast. He thinks it may be the work of the Legion of Doom! But little do they know that the evil mastermind Toyman has snuck in to the Hall of Justice, and is pointing his toyray at them while they are occupied with the transmission! (lower left corner)
Awww, I got some awesome kid-art from when I was like 6 y.o. But its back home in the peg. I'm so lucky my mom is a packrat. I've got tons of art from growing up (and I haven't burnt any, ahem, James). The funny thing is I brought some to school when I was doing my thesis in painting and my profs were happily surprised, saying no one had ever done that before. Through mere coincidence there were many thematic and stylistic similarities between my thesis and kid art.
I've been pushing Dan to hold a "before and after" show for years. Find an old drawing, then do a modern day interperatation of that pic. I think it would be a fun show. Dan only smiles at me when I mention it. What does that mean???
I'd have a record of some of the pieces I burnt..."
Lol. No contradiction there ;) (Ok, maybe adolescent art?)
...building a gazebo? Can you give me a reminder of the who where what when why of the Gazebo building incident? I honestly can't remember what ypu're talking about, and think you might be mistaken.
A Love for Art was a collaborative blog for visual artists, musicians, writers, and social scientists. This blog has evolved into a new blog called BETA, go check it out!

I can remember making this like it was yesterday.
This may be a new favorite piece for me. I'm a sucker for kids art these days, especially when there's a narrative to be had.
It might be time for everyone to post some of their kid art.

Oops, that was me that posted the last comment.
I'd never burn kid art silly.
Just abonimations.
I'd have a record of some of the pieces I burnt but someone(ahem, David) taped over them with a video of him building a gazebo. :)
I love this drawing. I think we should post our kid art, great idea.
Macro, what a great story about your thesis. I hope we get a chance to see it sometime.
James, have you ever heard of a Renaissance priest with a penchant for the flame named Girolamo Savonarola?
