Dynamite. I love the softness and Mr.Woods. Is this someone's painting though? I hope it's more than 25 years old =P

just like the last one it has great light and awesome depth. similar visions to what i see in my dreams, although my dreams have been very dull lately. maybe it's been a long time since ive seen or felt beauty, too preoccupied with staying warm i guess.

I'm seeing the luminist influence here. Darkest shadows next to the lightest highlights. Frederic Edwin Church perhaps? The additions really complement the existing composition in this one. ~m

ah, collis! p'tit collis!

it's church!

maybe. good call, though.

i agree that his additions compliment (and comment) on it.

again-- you MUST look up thorneycroft.

she's done some awesome work in this regard.

c-dog-- i see some perry miller influence here, too. yep.

the emotion here is very strong.

i like and am interested in the seated figure holding the dog.

beautiful stuff.

Yeah, Turner, Cole and Church for sure, but I think of Caspar David Friedrich too, especially because he took that romantic landscape and started incorporating a narrative.

yup. that was also on my list. heh.

i also think of (insert controversy here) kent monkman.

Yes! Monkman, definitely.
